Slept like a baby.

If you read my post yesterday, I made the mistake of partying on a Monday night. Yesterday, all day at work I was tired and cranky and just not feeling well. I ended up having a tuna salad from Eatalian. It was yummy! Although... I did discover that I'm allergic to cucumbers. So I had to take Benadryl. By 2:30, I was nearly on the verge of passing out on my desk. My homie, Michael, is one of the people I like to CrossFit with, and he was encouraging me to go, but I just FELT. LIKE. COMPLETE. SHIT. So, I come home at 4, text him to call me at 5:50 so I can go. I napped like a hardcore bamf. Woke up with acid reflux. He calls at 5:57 and I scurry to get myself together and was on my way.

The hardest part is getting there, fo sho.

Warm Up: 200 rope turns and stretching

A: Back Squat with 2 minute rest between sets
1 set x 10 reps @ 60%
1 x 8 @ 65%
1 x 6 @ 70%
1 x 4 @ 75%

B: 3 rounds for max reps
1 min max effort shoulder press 95# men/65# women
Rest 1 min
1 min max effort strict pull up
Rest 1 min
1 min max effort push press 95/65
Rest 1 min
1 min max kipping pull up

Results A: I was instructed to just pick a weight that I think I can do for 10 reps and add on as I go. I ended up doing 65-75-85-110. I jumped from 85 to 110 because Coach D was observing whilst on my 1x6 and said I could do more. So I did more and had to push it. While I was on my final squat (4/4), it was freaking challenging trying to push myself up. But what really got me going... the people around me were cheering me on! Needless to say, I felt good pushing myself and having an awesome support system. Steven (my infamous brother) thought I did a good job too when I showed him my results. I can't wait to do better. Seriously.

Results B: I set my bar to 55 lbs ...
Round 1: 12 shoulder presses - 10 pull ups (I scaled down and tried using the band to help lift myself up) - 17 push presses - 8 pull ups (still used the band)
Round 2: 8 SP - 10 pull ups (I scaled down using the band again) - 16 PP - 9 pull ups (I used a box this time)
Round 3: 9 - 11 - 14 - 12

I'm really proud of myself for round 3 because I did 1 more shoulder press than round 2. I really enjoyed this workout, and I seriously cannot wait until I can do a pull up without scaling down or whatever.

One of my good friends, Nancy, hit me up and we ended up having dinner at BJ's. Again, another reason to be proud of yesterday... I didn't eat shit food! Hooray for veggies and chicken!

I'm glad I worked out yesterday. I felt SO much better than I did when I got home from work. I'm thinking of upgrading my contract to 4x a week instead of 3x.
