I have been lagging with updates on my WODs, sorry I'm not sorry, lol. I've been pretty upset with myself because I can't lift overhead or even hook grip without having my thumb/wrist hurt. At least I can finally pinpoint where my pain is EXACTLY. If I hold on to the bar in front rack position without hooking my thumb around it, I can put weight on there, but once I loop my thumb around, BOOM. I've been stretching like hell.

Anyways, I started off on Saturday, January 12, 2013 with a morning WOD.

Warm up: Cali and Ero warm up

A: Back Squat 5 x 5

B: 5 Rounds for Time
400m run
15 back squats 135/95
10 toes to bar

Results A: 175 lbs... I hope to get a badonk soon, cuz all I've been doing are squats.

Results B: 25:43 Rx :)
About time I did a WOD to help my ego! Although while I was doing the toes to bar during hte 4th round, towards the end I started feeling the fatigue but I pushed through it anyway. I just gotta remember to keep stretching and use the wrist wraps for support.

I went home, showered and cooked myself a very late breakfast - I've been lagging with eating paleo consistently, I made a quiche called Muscle Cups, the recipe is here. I got ready and finally Lucy, her sister Chela, and cousins Rosie and Leslie got to my house.

We decided to hang out because Lucy is going to Spain for 6 months to study abroad! I feel bad for not being able to hang out with her this past 6 months - she was uber busy with school and I was uber busy with crossfit. Side note: I was hanging out with my brother and he made me realize that I've been taking crossfit too seriously with all my logging (Yes, I still log on my own) and just have fun with it. Maybe that's why I've been lagging on blogging about every WOD.

We spent the day in LA -- The Getty Villa in Malibu (pictured above) where we checked out the sculptures and artifacts, and played outside on the marble floor... 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, had dinner and walked around and went shopping, then ended that night with Starbucks and cruising. It was a good day well spent. Definitely can't wait for her to come back, and she hasn't even left yet!

Hopefully, by the time she gets back to California, there will be lots of weight lost (okay, maybe 10-15 more pound and I'd be happy), more PR's hit (with proper technique, especially my cleans and snatches), a new career for me (I need dat dough doe)... those are my goals to hit until July.

What are your short-term goals?

...so about that comfort zone

So, for the past year and a half, I have made it a point to do things to get out of my comfort zone. Even if it's as minuscule as going to farmers market.
BTW, I went to a farmers market for the first time on Saturday! The BFF has been wanting to go and we finally had the chance to. So, you know how they sell organic and fresh produce? Yeah... We didn't get any of that. However, we did taste test some fruits and it was friggin bombskies!

Nutella filled Hawaiian donut. What's up.

BFF got her flowers and I got my macaroons from Munch Bakery. Turns out her dad and my dad golf together.
Random question: how far would you drive to buy a couple pairs of pants?
To answer that for myself... 80 miles round trip... And the pants weren't even for me, lol.
Shoutout to the BFF for sticking it out with me!

After four, and I repeat, FOUR hours of searching for pants, the BFF and I met up with Big Bruddah at Gen KBBQ! Best decision of my life!
Another comfort-zone-breaker... I …

Skee TV: Fort Minor

So let me tell you. I've never won anything... EVER. During my Monday mini break, I was on instagram and saw that Skee TV was having a giveaway. Pretty much just comment on that picture of Mike Shinoda/Fort Minor and that's my entry.
Skee TV added me on instagram, and commented on one of my pictures (Rawle D. Lewis) saying I was chosen! I emailed them and boom. I got my tickets.
I followed Fort Minor since Mike Shinoda created it and man, it was AWESOME. And I can knock it off my bucket list - going to a rap/hip hop show. Also got a glimpse of Mr. Hahn!
I don't care what you say. I'm happy AF.

Since I won, the Skee TV rep hooked it up with some merchandise. Mike Shinoda signed the snapback. I fangirled so hard.

After the show, we managed to head to Guisados and got some mafuggin tacos.
