CrossFit Open 13.3

I know I skipped my results on the 13.2 WOD. I didn't do well and it pissed me off, lol. I only did 5 rounds + 8 deadlifts or something. I don't even remember. I don't want to. LOL.
 
Anyways, Friday, March 22, 2013...
 
CrossFit Open 13.3 - As many reps as possible in 12 minutes
150 wall balls (20/14)
90 double unders
30 muscle ups
 
No way in hell I was going to complete all of that, lol. I did complete the wall balls in under 9 minutes. I'm not good with double unders so it took me a while to complete 39 lol. I was kind of mad that I didn't do 4-5 in a row so I practiced after the WOD. One of the girls there, Mia, was helping me with my form by keeping my hands closer to my body, jumping up right away instead of sitting on my heels too long, and looking forward. After many failed attempts, I finally did it and I got a new PR at 17 double unders in a row! I was so happy I jumped up and down and fell into the wall.

I'd like to call Saturdays "Justin Time" ... Coach Justin always has some cool stuff posted.
 
Warm up: 400m run
Ero warm up
2 x 10 of:
V-ups
Push up > Kick through > dip > kick back
L-sits
Kips
 
A: Dumbbell Push Press 3 x 5 
 
B: 20 ground to overhead plates (45/25)
5 burpees
15 g2o
10 burpees
10 g2o
15 burpees
5 g2o
20 burpees
 
C: 50 abmat situps
 
Results A: I used 30# dumbbells and it's hard! My PR push press is at 140# but using free weights requires more stabilization and control
 
B: I was getting fatigued but Coach J was yelling at me and told me to finish Sub 8. I remember looking at the clock and powered through the last set of burpees and finished at 7:47 Rx :)

 
Spent Sunday evening with Dan. He took me to this new pizza place by his work called Baby Bros. Grubbed way too much but it was totally worth it.

Ero Warm Up
 
A: 15 minutes to find 1 RM Front Squat
 
B: For time:
20 kettle bell swings
30 toes to bar
400m run
 
C: 3 x 25 abmat sit ups
 
Results A: Since I've been injured I've been really scared of front squats... I managed to get to 185 this time. My PR is 195.
 
B: I finished at 5:19 using 35.2# kettle bell
 
After the WOD, Nancy wanted to practice toes to bar... check her out!
 
Determination: physical proof on her hands.
 
Then theres me. With my awesome shirt from H&M. LOL. Happy Tuesday!

...so about that comfort zone

So, for the past year and a half, I have made it a point to do things to get out of my comfort zone. Even if it's as minuscule as going to farmers market. 
BTW, I went to a farmers market for the first time on Saturday! The BFF has been wanting to go and we finally had the chance to. So, you know how they sell organic and fresh produce? Yeah... We didn't get any of that. However, we did taste test some fruits and it was friggin bombskies! 

Nutella filled Hawaiian donut. What's up. 

BFF got her flowers and I got my macaroons from Munch Bakery. Turns out her dad and my dad golf together. 
Random question: how far would you drive to buy a couple pairs of pants?
To answer that for myself... 80 miles round trip... And the pants weren't even for me, lol. 
Shoutout to the BFF for sticking it out with me! 

After four, and I repeat, FOUR hours of searching for pants, the BFF and I met up with Big Bruddah at Gen KBBQ! Best decision of my life!
